An author’s job is only half done once the book is ready for sale. The other half is the marketing side of things. Marketing includes setting up book signings, contacting book stores to make sure they have your book in stock or available for order, and letting readers know you as a writer. The closer readers get to the writer, the more likely they are to continue to purchase your books.

One way to promote yourself as an author is to have a website. This can be as simple as a plain blog or as complex as an ordering system for your readers to purchase your books directly from you.

PSP Web Design and Hosting (another section of PS Publishing) offers website hosting and website design. Since the website design and hosting is part of PS Publishing, we have a head start on what you need as a writer. Plus, we will work with you as closely on your website as we do with publishing your book. Our authors get special treatment and consideration.

Editing is an important step to any printed (or online) material. Spelling and grammar mistakes can cause your readers to lose concentration on your story. These mistakes can cause a possible purchaser of your book to put your book back on the book shelf and walk away without buying.

Making corrections after a printer has run your order can be costly. It may cost you a second setup fee. Avoid these extra fees.

Ghost Writing Available

What Is Ghost Writing?

Ghost writing is when you hire an author for a set fee to write your book for you, but you are listed as the author. You will own the copyrights to the completed book and your name will appear as the author of the book.

The ghost writer writes the book and signs a contract with you. The contract states that the ghost writer is obligated to keep it a secret that this person wrote the book. If the ghost writer breaks that contract, you will be able to pursue legal proceedings against the ghost writer (please check with an attorney in your local area before starting proceedings should this happen).

In other words, you are the author even though someone else wrote the book for you under a ghost writing contract.

Welcome to PS Publishing. Our regular visitors will notice that our site has changed (yes, again!). We plan on sticking with this plan this time as the other options we used were not working. We apologize for inconvenience to you, but hope you will come to love the site.

We are collecting some links that will be helpful to writers. Be sure to check these out. We are looking for free software that is available to authors, so check back often. We thought we would try to save authors time by gathering up a collection for you. Keep in mind that we have not tested all software that we are linking to and cannot be help accountable for your downloading and trying these programs. If we do try one of them, we will post about our experience with that software to help you even further.
